OK, so here we go.  It’s been hard.  In the past few years, I’ve suffered through mental, emotional, and sexual abuse at the hands of those I loved.  It’s been 9 months since I worked out because I broke my wrist back in April and the doctor says I’ll never get back full mobility in it.  My job stresses me out, my life stresses me out, and it’s just so hard to get on track and stay on track. 

 

Everything starts today.  No excuses, no delays, no holding back.  I am taking control of my life and it starts these next 6 months.  I need to show the discipline to reach the goals.  I’ve dreamed it, I’ve said it, I’m inking it, I’m living it. 

 

This is what I’m going to do for myself as far as my workouts.  Feel free to comment, keep an eye on my progress, give any encouragement you have.  As I accomplish each workout, I will highlight that day in green.

All of the DDPY workouts will be the 1.0 variety, right off the original DVDs that I still have.  For the non-yoga days, you’ll see something like “1 set – 5/C/2”. 

 

“x set” means just that, x set(s) of the following three exercises: 

 

The first number is the number of minutes on my elliptical/recumbent bike.  First set is on the elliptical, second set is bike, third set is elliptical backwards, fourth set is bike backwards

 

“C” stands for a combo drill on my heavy bag.  I admit, I love having a heavy bag in my house.

 

The second number is the number of minutes freestyling on the heavy bag. 

 

I’m off to a good start.  I made my intermittent fasting goal, and I made my step goal today.  It’s not much, but it’s a start.  And I will build on that start and I will keep it going.  Today may just be one day, but it’s the start of six months of successes.
